Hey guys.

Just some annoucements before the National Day break.

1) CIP

Please remember to hand in the consent forms to your SLs by tmrw, Thursday 7/8/08.

Again, remember to report outside CO Room by 9am and await instructions.

If there is enough time, Long lao shi mauy allow you 20 mins to take breakfast.

2) No practice on Monday, 11/8/08

As that day is a National Day holiday,

all school CCAs are cancelled, so that applies for our xiaozu practice as well.

SLs and ASLs, please remember to inform your teachers of the break.

3) Dazu on Wednesday, 13/8/08

Due to the dazu breaks after our MRs, National Day and Wei lao shi being unable to make it on next Friday (15/8/08),

a dazu practice will be held on Wednesday to make up for the 2 cancelled practices.

Please report to CO Room at 3pm sharp after assembly and contact time.

SLs and ASLs, please remind your members again when time comes.

4) Sec 4 farewell Party

We will emphasize once again.

THIS EVENT WILL DEFINITELY BE HELD.

For those who are wondering if the event has been cancelled,

this is for you.

It was initially planned to be held on week 5, but was postponed once again due to the MRs.

We will definitely honour the Sec 4's past work to us.

Once the date is confirmed, you will be informed again.

Updates

Hi all.

Not feeling too good today,

so will make this fast.

THERE WILL NOT BE ANY PERFORMANCE ON 8/8/2008.

This is the answer for the members who are confused.

This is due to the upcoming CIP on that day.

Report to school as per normal,

but report to CO Room by 9.30am in your PE attire.

Prepare basic necessities, like:

Water Bottle

Poncho or Umbrella

Cap (If you want)

A portable radio

Your hands!

For the benefit of those who did not come today,

this will be the events for that day.

30,000 teens from all over Singapore will hold hands and form a route of about 20km.

When that is done, everyone will tune in to FM 91.3 and recite the Singapore Pledge as one.

There will be student leaders leading in cheers before that.

Any hands not held, the mission is unsuccessful (That's what they said.)

Thus, in commemoration of our Nation's 43rd birthday,

let us hold hands, and be part of the celebrations!

Practice should be cancelled on Friday,

but please read the CO blog constantly to check for updates.

I will confirm it by Wednesday lastest.

Hi all.

Congrats for pulling through the tough period of our lives!

2 annoucements for all to note.

1) BRIEFING FOR CIP

This will be held on Monday, 4/8/2008 at 3.20pm

There will be a CIP this Friday that is compulsory for ALL MEMBERS.

Details are with Long lao shi, so we are unable to tell you more.

Sorry.

2) Xiaozu on Monday

Practice will resume after last Friday's break.

It will commence instantly after long lao shi's briefing., which is about 3.45pm.

SLs and ASLs, please contact your teachers.

Practice update

Hi guys.

Exams are coming, so this will be my final post until next Friday.

Yesterday's dazu wasn't really that good,

although we made progress.

Noise level was a bit high as usual,

but the worse case was that someone in erhu took sweet drinks in CO Room AGAIN.

Haiz.

As what Jason said yesterday,

please do not do so as it will dirty the CO Room!

Anyway, practice will only resume next Friday at 2.30pm.

Please be puctual.

Practice Review and CIP

Hey guys.

Hope you had a good break.

To sum up yesterday's dazu,

on the overall it was actually not bad, except that the noise level was a bit too high.

Please remain silent while other sections practice!

You can make use of the time to rest, but please refrain from talking!

It might distract the others while they are drilled by wei lao shi.

Anyway, here are some annoucements and rules here that might benefit you all.

1) NO EATING IN THE CO ROOM.

This has been repeated again and again by generations of seniors.

Yet, this was seen AGAIN yesterday in the CO Room.

Please take pride of the cleanliness of the CO Room!

The entire group will be punished if someone is caught again.

2) No playing of any sweaty games during breaks or before practice.

Some members were caught by Jason playing soccer.

Take note that if you are sweaty before practice especially dazu,

we will not allow you to enter the CO Room.

This is serious as we do not want our CO Room to stink.

A first warning was given to the members involved,

but we will not hesitate to punish next time.

3) Annoucement to SLs and ASLs

Some things for SLs and ASLs to note:

--> Please collate your 2 members involved in helping out CH Primary CO on Tuesday for their SYF Closing Ceremony. Please submit by Sunday to Jason.

--> Sec 4 farewell party has been postponed to after the MRs. Please DO NOT ASK your members first. Will update you guys ASAP once the new date is announced.

4) PROBABLE BEIJING TRIP

Their might be a Beijing trip during early December.

Cost is about $1800, but there will be subsidy.

It will depend on the number of people,

so please ask more people to go if you want a bigger subsidy.

We need at least 45 members to go perform at Bejing's Art Festival.

More information will be given to everyone soon.

Some reminders

Hi people.

Hope you're enjoying your 3rd week.

Here are some reminders for you to note:

1) No playing of the drumset before dazu/xiaozu.

Mind that the LT is only beside the CO Room, and as the "O" Level approaches,

More and more students will be using it.

Please refrain from playing the drumset or it shall be removed, if necessary.

2) Practice for SYF choice piece- 梦蝶

We understand that there are some parts where rhythm is a problem.

Please practice at home during your free time if you can as we aim to meet our first goal this Friday,

which is 67 bars.

Should you face any difficulty,

please do not hesitate to ask your seniors or teachers (during xiaozu) for help.

3) Practice this Friday.

Take note that there will be practice this Friday, 18 July 2008.

Report to CO Room at 2.30pm sharp and await further instructions.

If you will be late, please inform your respective SLs or ASLs.

Hey everyone.

1) Do take note that there will be practice tmrw, 14th July 2008.

Attendance is compulsory as we aim to finish 67 bars of 梦蝶 during dazu on Friday.

Thus, Monday's xiaozu will be a crucial crucial practice that will/might decide where we can complete on Friday.

Please report to CO Room by 2.30pm sharp.

2) On behalf of Lim Qian's post on the tagboard,

All Sec 4s, please return your blazers to Lim Qian ASAP.

We need to collate the blazers to stock-take.

3) DSA for Primary 6

The closing date is arriving soon. For those members whose siblings are interested, please register ASAP!!!

For those members who have siblings who want to try DSA using CO, closing date is coming soon.

Please check the CHS School website for the closing date.

If I'm not wrong, it is 15th July. But please double-check, just in case.

Practice update...

Hi guys.

Some annoucements here...

1) Please take note that there won't be any practice this coming Friday (4/7/2008) due to preparations for homecoming. However, if you wish to contribute, you may want to join us to set-up the stall. We will be selling drinks, but what we need is people to decorate before Saturday. Those who are willing to do their part please contact Jason, Zhen Wei, Xuan Ming, Kenneth or Lim Qian for further information.

2) Members who have stated that they want to contribute drinks, please place your contributions in the CO Room by the very latest Saturday. However, you might like to place by Friday so that we can take note of the total number of drinks.

3) We would like to repeat this again: NO FOOD AND DRINKS AND BALL GAMES IN THE CO ROOM. If you are caught doing so, you will be severely dealt with.
