Announcement to EXCOs, SLs and ASLs

Please report to CO Room at 2.30pm sharp outside CO Room on Friday, 26/9/08.

As MOE auditors are coming down to check on our instruments next Monday,

We will need all leaders to turn up and tally the total number of instruments in the store.

You presence is greatly appreciated,

as the more people we have, the faster we can finish the task.

Last update before exams

Hi again.

My final update, before leaving this dead for 2 weeks.

I've uploaded the first recording of the SYF piece,

as promised.

Hope everyone can spot mistakes from it.

Naturally, it won't sound perfect at this point of time.

But as we practice more and more,

I will upload more each time so that everyone can compare and judge our progress.

This is our first try, so dun be disheartened.

It's quite ok already.^^

Final Update before EOYs

Hi guys.

Yesterday's performance was simply great,

but I'm sure we are capable of even more.

A review of all sections' performance since Late June (My personal opinion):

弹拨乐：8.5/10

笛子：8/10

笙/唢呐：6.5/10

打击乐：8/10

Cello/Bass：9/10

弦乐：7.5/10

******

Note that the above is not to start any wars,

but to let you guys know what I feel after 3 months of practice.

It is not entirely accurate as these are only my points of view.

However, let's hope that everyone will improve by End of Year as we go full steam ahead.

Practice will resume again on 10/10/2008 (Friday).

Report at 3pm sharp.

SLs and ASLs, please inform your respective teachers about these changes.

And for those who constantly nag, nag and nag on the blog for me to update more,

you better appreciate what you have.

You should take the initiative and ask your SLs,

and not to rely on us to spoonfeed everyone with news.

I'm human, so I am busy as well.

Please do turn up as these 3 practices will be the last before the 2 week break for the exams.

Hi everyone.

Some stuff to inform you...

1) Wednesday Practices

Wednesday practices have commenced.

Please report to CO Room every Wednesday by 3pm.

For those who cannot make it or will come late,

please inform your SLs.

For the Sec 2s going for some event tmrw,

those leaving at 2 plus will have to report back to the CO Room after the trip if it ends before 6pm.

For those whose trip are at 4.30pm,

report to CO Room for practice until 4.30pm.

2) Annual Phototaking

This is for the school magazine.

We will be taking the photos on Thursday morning.

The photographers will arrive at 7.30am.

But to prevent any delays,

please report to CO Room by 7.15am.

More details will be given to everyone tmrw.

Practice analysis

Hi guys.

I'm sure you know that Wednesday's practice was screwed.

Thus, I won't talk about it anymore.

However, for yesterday,

it was WAY much better.

We are on course now as we aim to finish the song by week 2.

On Wednesday, the best performing section would be 笙/唢呐.

Among the rest, yeah.

Thursday, to me,

would be the 中阮.

Despite only having 3 ppl present at 4.45pm,

in which all were Sec 1s,

and faced many tough tests by Wei lao shi in the next hour,

they held on and managed to receive an "OK" from Wei lao shi.

Good job! ^^

Have a good break, and finish up your remaining homework.

Please be reminded that practices will be as usual next week,

and note that dazu will now be conducted on Wednesdays as well.

The timetable that I have posted up earlier may not be up to date.

I am saying this after noticing that some groups somehow turned up or did not turn up for xiaozu today.

Sheng/suona, you are having your xiaozu on Thursday, from 10am to 12pm.

Please check with your respective SLs and ASLs for the accurate timetable.
