Hwa Chong Exchange Programme

Just want to voice something out.
After 3 days of last-minute collating,
it is really disappointing to see such a lousy turnout.
The word used here is LOUSY.
Sorry for this, but the number of members who will be attending the Hwa Chong JC Exchange Programme is so little that if there's a war between our school CO with some other school's CO,
we can be crushed in just a minute.
Dun believe?
My latest Stats after submitting to HCJC is 7.
Yes, 7.
After counting me and Kenneth in.
That will be 3 Sec 2s, 2 Sec 3s and 2 Sec 1s.
Perhaps everyone does not understand the meaning of this exchange programme.
The main intention was to watch other schools perform and learn new things from them.
Get to know more people, and improve your connections.
But when the Opportunity Window opened for you,
you closed it.
Let us compare with a school, Chung Cheng High School (Main).
The number of members going has hit 40 plus,
As compared to last year's 20.
While for us, from last year's 20 we dropped to 7.
It's amazing, you know, the drop.
If you cannot make it, it's ok.
But for those who said they did not want to go,
I'm really wondering why.
No performance.
No homework.
No fees to pay.
All games.
Talk all you can.
Really, I'm starting to wonder.
It's very disappointing, that's all I can say.
But kudos to the younger ones who can make it (I'm not talking about myself),
it shows their willingness to interact, socialise and learn.
Keep it up.
Dazu will be held on Thursday.
From 3pm.
You know what to do if you cannot make it.
Thanks.

Long lao shi's wedding!

Hello guys.
Let me introduce to you our CO Teacher in charge...
MRS NG! =D
Hahaha.
Yeah, for many who still dunno this,
Long lao shi got married today to Mr Paul Ng.
It was held at St. Francis Xavier Church at 10.30am,
and our seniors from batch '03 were also there.
It was fun looking at Long lao shi there, and wearing a dress...
Ok here's the video of Mr Ng and Long lao shi exchanging vows.
It might not be that clear and loud,
so please try to make do cos my phone sucks...
Those who want the video can add me at lewxuanming@hotmail.com and I'll send you.
Let's wish them 白头偕老,早生贵子。
Anyway people, have a nice day ahead. =D

Please turn up.
If you cannot make it,
please inform your SLs 3 days beforehand.
Take note that anyone who does not turn up with a valid reason will be handed over to long lao shi.
Thanks guys and have a good day tmrw! =D

Sorry for yesterday's complications. Today's dazu is from 3 to 6, not 1.45 to 4.45. Anyways, be prepared for more changes on the timeslots, yarp, sorry.

Well, yesterday ms. Leong, Jason, ZhenWei and Xuaniming went to SCH for SYF rehearsal balloting, and the date we got is rather weird - 2009 february the 2nd, 7.45pm to 8.45pm, yarp, this is two months before the actual rehearsal and we are telling you here to keep that day free.

Yarp jiayou!

Since XuaniMing's a very busy man, and no more 7-3 parted, i'm rather free here, so this is the final holiday timetable.

21 November 2008 03.00pm to 06.00pm
28 November 2008 10.00am to 02.00pm
04 December 2008 10.00am to 01.00pm
05 December 2008 10.00am to 01.00pm
19 December 2008 10.00am to 01.00pm
02 January 2008 03.00pm to 07.00pm

I believe everyone can count :) , maybe not xuaniming, but we have only 6 more practices to 2009, so do come, do appreciate these last hours of freedom, and all absentees will need to aha! report to ms. Leong, she will deal with you all personally. Sec 3s, we have a month or so towards manhood :) and O-lvls is definitely coming, prelim 1 and 2 is dangerously close to SYF 2009, buckup. and xuaniming's back from the camp, don't do anything stupid :) if you break your leg, then you can break your neck. stay focus. this's already the 11th hour, its time to erm.. chiong.

let's end with a quite sensible quote:)

Music is the chalk to the blackboard of life. Without it, everything is a blank slate.

Lastly, please turn up for every practice!
This holiday is very crucial,
as it is the only holiday where we have sufficient time to prepare ourselves for SYF.

Practice hard, and let the Music flow out of you.

Thursday, November 6, 2008

Hello everyone!
Sorry no time to post for the past few days...
There will be no dazu tmrw.
We believe that your SLs would have told you that.
The next dazu will be held on Wednesday, 12/11 from 1pm to 4pm.
Until then, further notices will be given to everyone.
SYF Set Piece is out, so this is not the time to rest on your laurels.
In fact, it is time when we have to move on quickly, full steam ahead.
Practice hard during your holiday xiaozu,
cos when school reopens everyone will be very, very busy adapting to life again.
Worse, there will also be open house, Sec 1 Orientation etc to distract us.
But nevertheless, we hope that no matter what obstacles that lay ahead,
we will move on as a CO,
And will be well-prepared to defend the Gold-with-Honours earned and well-sustained by our past 2 batches of seniors.
CHSCO, 加油! You can do it! =D

Hi everyone.
For the practices next week, for both xiaozu and dazu,
please refer to your SLs for further details.
As the dazu dates are not confirmed yet,
latest news will be sent to your SLs who will redirect them to you.
SYF Set Piece is out,
So please do take some time to adapt to the new song.
A reminder to all Sec 3 HCL ppl,
please meet long lao shi outside CO Room after the Chinese paper to collect your scores.
And yes,
please turn up for all practices,
or like what long lao shi said,
a Parents' Letter will be given to you.
If you have stuff going on and cannot make it,
please tell us 2-3 days beforehand or produce an MC if you are sick.
SMS or call us if you have any problems...
Thanks!
Xuan Ming
P.S. Practice will get really, really intensive next year.
So try to keep your Tuesdays and Thursdays free as well should we need it...
