THANK YOU :D

Hey guys!
Okay again, for those who do not know me, I'm xuanming from batch 2009 haha.
Anyway, great performance people! :D
You guys totally rocked the SCH down yesterday.
As a chapter of CHSCO closes, a new chapter unfolds, yet again.
This time round, Sec 3s, it is your turn to rise up to the occasion.
SYF is next, but I'm sure that you guys can do it!
Yesterday's performance was pretty optimistic :D
Watching CHSCO as an audience for the first time in 4 years, I am proud to say that I was from CHSCO and will always be (:
Enjoy your time in CHSCO okay!
You guys will love it in time to come.
It is here when you understand what it means by an equal mix of work and play ;D
(I had a fair share of mine too!)
You will know why in time to come (:
Thanks for the music yesterday people (:
And... taupok -.-
LOL.
It certainly brought back memories of the old days when I used to wear that maroon blazer and standing on stage as a CHSCO performer.
Haha.
Even though I know that those times will not come back again, at least I know that I was once part of it and I am very, very glad to be so.
Anyway, some final words to the current sec 3 batch:
You guys are really a friendly group of people! =)
Since getting to know you all since you were sec 1, you guys have really matured a lot and have blossomed in many ways.
I still remember the lame pranks that you played on us LOL.
(Pulling our hair, taupok, piggy-backing, pinching...) -.-
Yeah I lost 4 strands of hair I think.
Haha although you may look back and think that it's lame, but it is, after all, part of the growing up process.
Now, after 2 years being under the careful nurturing by us and the current sec 4 batch, it is time for you all to step up.
There is the SYF next year, no doubt it is a massive task on hand.
But dun worry k! We are confident that you guys will be able to accomplish your mission.
For you guys are CHSCO. (:
As quoted from Zhenwei (2008-2009 Vice-Pres),
Music is our talent, Winning is our Art.
Always remember that we seniors are always here for you all and will always lend our support in whatever that you do :D
This is a promise! And I'm sure the other seniors feel this way too (:
So... yup.
Dun want to say too much already =]
Reach out for the stars, guys!
Nothing is impossible.
You guys can do it, for you have the potential.
You guys can make breakthroughs, for you have the willpower to do so.
Most of all, you guys definitely can reach out for the skies, for you are CHSCO (:
All the best for your future endeavors guys! :D
No matter where we are, we will be silently watching you all, from afar =]
With bucketfuls of my best wishes,
XUANMING ;D
CHSCO 5th Secretary (08-09)
and a proud member of CHSCO! (2006-2009) :D
Hey guys,
The concert was great yesterday !
Can really see everyone putting in their heart
and soul into making the performance a success!
Thanks for everyone efforts in putting up such a great performance.
Have a well-deserved rest and break for the last 3 days!
CO practice resumes nxt Monday, 3pm - Sectionals.

Hello, Happy holidays Term 3 week 11 CO members. I understand many, if not all are not very sure of our concert plan, what is going on where and who does what, especially since we now have to shift our own chairs.

Here is a plan of how it should commence, please look through it and ensure you know your role where it concerns you. We have to strive to run through our next rehearsal on Tuesday smoothly.

1. 大组-生日歌and梦蝶After both songs are over, those who sit in seats that are highlighted in yellow are to take 2 instruments backstage, with the exception of Yik Heng and Bo Wei, who need to prepare for their next piece, and will pass their instruments to someone else then go and prepare.

Yangqin, cello and bass are to shift their own instruments.

Purple highlighted chairs on platform to remain untouched.

5 chairs highlighted in green to be left on stage for next performance.

Rest of CO who are not carrying instruments are to help clear the chairs from the stage. (*all except the 5 highlighted in green)

Hi CO, as you can all see, we have around 13 days left to our performance. 13 days is not that long. All of you should have noticed that there is no way we can go on stage with the kind of performance we showed yesterday. I admit, the concert layout is not that simple, but we can do it, our practice schedule is
Fri 27/8 (normal practice time)
Mon 30/8 (normal practice time)
Fri 3/9 (normal practice time)
Tue 7/9 9.00 a.m. - ~3p.m.
Wed 8/9 9.00 a.m.- ~3p.m.
Thur 9/9 (Concert day!!! full day)
And... yes, do sell those tickets, it is true that it will be totally ugly to have more performers than audience. One more thing, ensure you have your uniform in check. Just to recap, you need...

1 long-sleeved white shirt
(Shirt!!! not T-shirt, it must have a STANDARD collar like those on our school uniform, not a round collar or whatever)( please try and get one that does not have a front pocket that the blazer cannot cover, it is unsightly)

1 purple blazer
(check that it fits, the sleeves are long enough and you have 8 golden buttons, 2 on the front, and 3 small ones on either cuff)

1 pair of ivory pants
(important!!! this HAS to fit if not... use your imagination. The waist should fit, and when seated, the legs should not reveal more than 2cm of your socks from your shoes.)

2 black socks
(socks, not ankle socks, they have to pass your ankles)

2 black shoes
(leather, LEATHER shoes, not canvas or any other material. Preferably one left and one right, both the same size and model. With or without laces is fine.)

1 golden tie
(will be passed to you on concert day)

If your blazer and/or pants have any problems, please seek help asap. (note: your pants should have about 2 inches folded and sewn in the pant legs if they require lengthening)

Sec 1s that have yet to receive your recently ordered uniforms, please wait patiently, we will try to get them quickly.

Last important thing, practice hard. Exams are over, please put in more effort now for our concert, don't let us down.

Jiayou!!!
Ivan :)
