CHSCO ANNUAL CAMP '08 A SUCCESS!!! =D

Guys.

On behalf of the entire Organising Committee for Annual Camp '08,

We would like to declare it a SUCCESS! =DD

To speak the truth,

none of us expected the first day to be as smooth-sailing as what we saw on the 26th.

It was totally fantastic, and unexpected.

And many thanks for the constructive feedback given to us,

it was really encouraging, most of it.

The End-of-Camp video is not with me now,

but I will get it along with the pictures from Long lao shi ASAP.

Meanwhile, rest well and prepare to go back to school again...

While we hope that this camp has ended your holiday on a eventful mood,

Please do cherish the times that you had.

We hope that you have understood more about the importance of bonding in CO and why each year's Organising Committee makes a great effort in doing this.

Please treasure our efforts, start talking with your new friends,

and who knows?

Communication within our CO may get stronger than what we can expect and imagine.

However, for such things to happen,

it does not occur just simply by attending a camp.

This requires INITIATIVE.

So do your part, get moving,

and get our CO more glued than before. ;)

Counting down 2 days to CHSCO's ANNUAL CAMP 2008!!!

Haha.

Just some final info...

Please gather outside CO Room by 10.30am latest!!!

We hope that everything will go according to plan,

so please do be punctual.

It will be overnight. ;)

And dismissal time will be 11am on Sunday (Estimate).

Planning for camp is going on well,

everything is moving according to plan.

And if the weather plays according to what we want,

we can guarantee you a camp full of fun. =D

For the Christmas Party,

Please remember the gift exchange section.

Budget is 5-10 bucks.

And yes, please bring your consent forms and $10 cash (not cheque) and hand in on Friday as well.

An update on the camp details...

Currently our tally for camp stands at 54/75, including EXCO and Gamemasters.
In your list, there would be 1 item missing,

which is a DRINKING CUP for breakfast and supper and SLEEPING BAG.

We will inform your SLs to remind you a few days later again,

but in the meantime please take note of this change.

CHSCO Camp is from 26-28 December.

Another thing we would liek to highlight would be the poor attendance rate.

At the current tally, we have 77 members up to date,

but our average attendance rate is only about 30-45 per practice.

This is totally unacceptable, and we will be stepping up measures to ensure that attendance maintains about 60.

SLs and ASLs would also be required to type and collate a list of members who failed to turn up for any xiaozu and dazu, and write valid reasons on why.

This is to be submitted by next week, and handed to long lao shi for further action.

Concert

Hi all.

Here are some announcements for your reference.

1) Marsiling Chinese Orchestra Concert

Venue: Singapore Conference Hall

Date/Time: 26th December, 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at $15/$25

We hope that more people will support this event that Marsiling CC holds each year.

Besides being able to watch a CO perform songs of non-Chinese origin,

This is also a chance for members to understand more about how externals COs work.

That is, if you are considering to join one.

Some highlights of the concert will be songs from ABBA, To Zanarkand, Mario ^^

We recommend you to get the $25 seats, seriously.

2) Upcoming Annual CO Camp

This will be held from 27-29 December (Tentative),

but the date will be confirmed soon after we talk to long lao shi later.

Packing lists will be given out to everyone on 19 December, when our practices resume again.
Please remember to keep these 3 days free.

3) 2-Week Break

Take note that 5th December's (Friday) dazu will be the last. (For this moment)

Practices will resume on 19th December (Friday) from 10am-1pm.

4) Announcement to Sec 3 Seniors

Sec 3s are to turn up for practice on Thursday and Friday.

Your presence is required so that we can discuss about the CO Camp and selection of GameMasters and I/Cs.
